Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at Novant Health as a Pre-op/PACU Specialist. This is a PRN position that requires flexibility and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care in the pre-op and PACU settings, ensuring a safe and comfortable experience for patients undergoing various surgical procedures.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans, taking into account the unique needs and requirements of each patient.
  • Conduct thorough assessments, identify potential risks, and implement appropriate interventions to prevent complications and promote positive outcomes.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient satisfaction.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of evidence-based practices that enhance patient care and outcomes.
Requirements
  • Current RN licensure in the state of employment, with a minimum of one year of recent experience in pre-op/PACU or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of pre-op and PACU procedures, including anesthesia management, pain control, and post-anesthesia care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, and maintain a high level of productivity in a dynamic setting.
