Veterinary Care Specialist

About the Role
Veterinary Hospital is seeking a skilled Veterinary Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and a strong ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians with patient care and treatment, including monitoring hospitalized pets and preparing prescriptions.
- Perform routine in-house laboratory work, including taking and developing radiographs.
- Provide basic animal handling and restrain animals during exams.
- Administer and monitor medications, anesthesia, vaccines, and treatments at the discretion of the veterinarian.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including exam rooms, treatment areas, and lab facilities.
Requirements
- Previous veterinary experience is preferred.
- Ability to lift patients and carry equipment up to 25 pounds.
- Practice OSHA safety techniques, including proper PPE.
- Basic math skills and ability to calculate medication dosages.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with MS Office applications.
