Job Overview

We are seeking a veterinarian who values teamwork, collaboration, and communication to join our cohesive and friendly team. The ideal candidate will be a dog and cat-focused veterinarian with a passion for delivering exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Examine and treat companion animals to detect and determine the nature of disease or injuries.
  • Operate diagnostic equipment and collect diagnostic samples as well as interpret results.
  • Advise pet owners on preventative care and treatment options.
  • Perform surgery and prescribe medication as needed.
  • Provide counsel around pet end of life care.
  • Maintain patients' medical records.
  • Ensure compliance with veterinary ethics and relevant statues, policies, and procedures.
Requirements
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an accredited AVMA institution.
  • Appropriate state licensure.
  • Eligibility to obtain DEA/BNDD.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrates professional and courteous presentation consistently with staff and clients.

We offer a fixed 4-day work week with no weekends or on-call, and a monthly stipend to cover individual health insurance premium. Liability coverage, State Licensure dues, DEA Registration, AVMA and state VMA memberships, and any other associated memberships will also be paid for during employment.

Our hospital began in 2005 and has grown to employ an over 20 person team of veterinarians, technicians, and receptionists.
