General Surgery Med Surg Nurse Weekend Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate General Surgery Med Surg Nurse to join our team at TriStar Centennial Medical Center. As a member of our healthcare team, you will have the opportunity to provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our medical providers to deliver exceptional outcomes.

About the Role

This is a 36-bed high acuity unit that cares for a variety of surgical patients, including those undergoing general surgery, gastrointestinal, head/neck, and vascular procedures. As a General Surgery Med Surg Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering personalized, comprehensive, and compassionate care to our patients, following established nursing models such as "Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage."

Responsibilities
  • Assess the patient's condition during admission and each scheduled shift, promptly identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
  • Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s), and ensure thorough and timely documentation of care administration in the patient's medical record.
  • Provide exceptional care by responding promptly to patient requests, proactively anticipating patient needs, and resolving them.
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers about the patient's medical condition, treatment plan, medications, possible side effects, and follow-up measures, ensuring complete understanding by translating complex medical terminology.
Requirements

To be considered for this opportunity, you must have an Associate Degree, or Bachelors Degree, or Registered Nurse Diploma. You will also need to be a registered nurse with a current license to practice in the state of [insert state].
