Key Responsibilities

  • Provide holistic nursing care to incarcerated patients, working under the direction of the Director of Nursing and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Assess and respond to the physical, psychological, and social needs of patients, promoting a safe and supportive environment.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, ensuring continuity of care and effective communication with patients and staff.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development of policies and procedures that enhance patient care and outcomes.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in nursing required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Active RN license to practice in Maryland.
  • Current tuberculosis documentation and active BLS/CPR certification.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background clearance and drug screen.
  • Minimum of one year of work experience as a RN in a community outpatient clinic, hospital, or long-term care facility preferred.
