Key Responsibilities:- Ensure compliance with relevant market rules, regulations, and internal policies.
- Stay up-to-date with changing regulatory requirements and exchange rules.
- Support clients' Commercial traders in trading North American Physical Gas and Power markets.
- Track relevant rules and regulations related to gas & power commodity derivative trading activity.
- Conduct risk-based trade surveillance of gas and power commodity derivative trading.
- Evaluate daily futures and option positions to ensure compliance with regulated exchange position limits.
- Assist in increasing clients' trading personnel's awareness of relevant rules and regulations.
- Maintain and enhance internal monitoring reports.
- Support the GEC Ethics Department and Chief Compliance Officer in conducting internal investigations.
- Maintain compliance and regulatory knowledge of CFTC, FERC, and ISO rules for power, renewables, and gas markets.
- Minimum education qualification: Bachelor's degree.
- Three years or more years of experience supporting a Commercial Trading function.
- Knowledge of gas products, ISO/RTO power products, and commercial competence of traded products, markets, and strategies.
- Demonstrated knowledge of CFTC, FERC, and ISO rules for power, gas, and renewables markets.
- Experience in using trade surveillance tools, such as the Nasdaq Trade Surveillance ('NTS') tool.
- Familiarity with commodity trading systems, such as Energy Trading and Risk Management ('ETRM') systems.
- Strong knowledge of the U.S. commodities regulatory environment and applicable laws.
