**Job Summary**
Merchants Insurance Group is seeking an experienced Auto Physical Damage Claims Adjuster to join our Central Claim Operations team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for handling Auto Physical Damage claims, providing exceptional customer service, and working towards achieving optimal outcomes for Merchants and our policyholders.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Cultivate relationships with claims and other internal staff, policyholders, attorneys, agents, and service providers to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Provide high-level customer service while managing a portfolio of Auto Physical Damage claims.
- Conduct and direct timely and quality claim investigations, evaluations, and equitable settlements of all assigned claims.
- Ensure timely and accurate reserves consistent with established reserving philosophy and practices.
**Requirements:**
- 4-year degree or equivalent work-related experience.
- A minimum of 3 years claims experience.
- Total Loss claim handling experience is a plus.
- Exceptional organizational, verbal, and written communication and negotiation skills.
