We are seeking an experienced Neonatal Nurse Practitioner to join our team at CHI St. Elizabeth in Lincoln, Nebraska. This is a unique opportunity to work in a Level-III NICU with 27 private rooms, collaborating with a multidisciplinary care team to provide exceptional patient care.

The selected candidate will be responsible for providing direct clinical care, conducting medical histories, performing physical examinations, initiating lab and radiology tests, and prescribing medications as needed. They will also participate in medical team rounds, collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals, and educate patient families about their disease, treatments, and related side effects.

The Neonatal Nurse Practitioner will have a significant impact on the care of critically ill newborns and their families. Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing direct clinical care in a Neonatal ICU setting">
  • Conducting medical histories and physical examinations">
  • Initiating lab and radiology tests">
  • Prescribing medications">
  • Participating in medical team rounds and collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals">
  • Educating patient families about their disease, treatments, and related side effects">

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

  • A Master's Degree in Neonatal Nurse Practitioner from an accredited program">
  • Neonatal Nurse Practitioner Board Certification">
  • NE License required">
  • BLS, PALS, and NRP certification">
