Renewable Energy Team Associate Attorney

Williams Mullen is seeking a mid-to-senior level associate attorney with at least 4 years of mergers and acquisitions and/or energy transactional experience to join our expanding and dynamic Renewable Energy team based in our Tysons, Virginia office.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support and manage transactions in the energy space (power and renewable) from deal inception through closing.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders including partners, legal teams and outside counsel to ensure a successful deal.
  • Perform due diligence and prepare legal opinions regarding M&A and energy transactions.
Requirements
  • At least 4 years of experience with mergers and acquisitions with energy transactional matters preferred.
  • Experience with energy regulatory issues, including cases before state energy regulatory/public utilities' commissions, is a plus.
  • Ambitious and driven individual with strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Currently licensed in Virginia, eligible to immediately waive into Virginia, or a member of the bar in one or more US Jurisdictions and willing to sit for the Virginia bar.
