Compensation InformationThe hourly wage for this role ranges from $20.00 to $24.00, influenced by factors such as the applicant's experience, skills, relevant certifications, and market conditions. Additional compensation may include performance bonuses or commissions where applicable. This estimate reflects Aramark's reasonable assessment of compensation for this position at the time of posting.
Upon hiring, the employee will be considered in an "at-will position," and Aramark retains the right to adjust base salary and other compensation elements at any time and for any reason, including individual performance and market factors.
Key Responsibilities
• Organizes and assigns daily tasks to kitchen staff, ensuring timely completion.
• Provides training and guidance to team members on job responsibilities, food safety, and cooking techniques.
• Prepares and cooks meals according to standardized recipes and production guidelines.
• Sets up the kitchen workstation with necessary ingredients and equipment.
• Measures, weighs, mixes, chops, and prepares food items as required.
• Utilizes kitchen utensils and equipment safely and effectively.
• Employs various cooking methods such as baking, roasting, and steaming on different food items.
• Presents and portions food in accordance with established standards.
• Ensures proper food storage by adhering to safety policies and procedures.
• Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, equipment, and utensils.
• Upholds excellent customer service standards with a positive demeanor towards guests and colleagues.
• Adheres to Aramark's safety protocols, including food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Safeguards company assets and ensures their security.
• Develops and maintains work schedules and may compile production records.

Qualifications
• Prior supervisory experience in a culinary setting is preferred.
• Experience in a cooking or related role is required.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision is essential.
• Strong understanding of food preparation principles, cooking methods, and safety regulations is necessary.
• Food safety certification is mandatory.
• Basic math and counting skills are required.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential.
This position may involve physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended periods of walking and standing. Uniforms and/or Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be required.
