Speech Language Pathologist

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at Saint John's On The Lake. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for assessing and treating residents with communication and swallowing disorders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and treat residents with communication and swallowing disorders
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to meet the unique needs of each resident
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
- Conduct informal conferences with residents, their caregivers/families, and other treatment team members as needed
- Strive to achieve and maintain productivity goals and work with director to achieve these goals
- Complete all treatment calendars and reports to a timely manner
- Organize and prioritize work so that deadlines and schedule are met
- Complete all assigned/required resident care activities before leaving for the day
Requirements:
- Master of Science in Speech Pathology from an accredited college or university
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech/Language Pathology granted by the Board of Examiners of the ASHA or be in the process of obtaining such certification
- CPR/First Aid certifications or become certified in first 6 months of employment
- Effective verbal and written communications skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs including at minimum Word, Excel and Outlook
- Working knowledge of EHR systems is preferred
Professional Standards:
- Demonstrate the ability to respond with tact and proper conduct when dealing with residents, the public, families, physicians and fellow employees
- Provide/give support to residents and significant others, including establishing a rapport, in order to counsel residents and significant others concerning the condition and treatment of the resident
- Ability to conduct and interpret appropriate speech, cognitive, memory, and/or swallowing assessments and standardized test in accordance with current best practice standards

Education and Certifications:
