Theater Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Stage Assistant IV to join our team at the City of Cerritos, CA. As a key member of our backstage operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth execution of theatrical performances, concerts, and other events at the Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts (CCPA).

• Maintain and operate various types of theater equipment, including stage lighting instruments, microphones, speakers, and rigging systems.
• Assist in the setup and striking of staging, scenery, and props for theatrical and musical events.
• Collaborate with the Technical Administrator and other CCPA personnel to ensure seamless event execution.
• Perform a variety of skilled functions involved in backstage and facility preparation, including moving, arranging, and dismantling equipment and structures.
• Work effectively with co-workers and the public to ensure a positive event experience.

• Three to five years of experience performing stagehand duties in a performing arts center.
• Journey-level skill as a lead technician.
• Valid California driver's license.
• Ability to work a varying schedule of hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
