We are a leading federal contractor dedicated to partnering with clients to advance clean energy and deliver effective solutions for complex challenges in the nuclear and environmental fields.

As a Fire Protection Engineer at Navarro, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety of our facilities and personnel by designing, implementing, and maintaining fire protection systems that meet or exceed regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Fire Protection Program Manager in all Fire Protection Program-related matters
  • Provide technical support to the overall organization and mission
  • Assist with implementation of the Fire Protection Program, perform peer reviews, and assist with fire investigations
  • Ensure fire hazards are controlled/mitigated, life safety is maintained, and facilities and operations are in compliance with DOE contract requirements, NFPA codes and standards, and other applicable statutory requirements
  • Support new and remodel construction activities by reviewing and contributing to project specifications, drawings, and other associated project documents

Requirements:

  • BS in Fire Protection Engineering, Engineering, or related technical field with 7-10 years of relevant experience
  • Familiarity with International Building Code, NFPA, Federal and state occupational safety and health requirements that impact facility safety and equipment design
  • Meets the qualifications for Professional Member Grade in the Society of Fire Protection Engineers OR has a Professional Member grade in the Society of Fire Protection Engineers OR is a Registered Professional Fire Protection Engineer
