Nurse in Labor Delivery

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in Labor and Delivery for a 13-week contract. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to a positive patient experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer nursing care to patients in Labor and Delivery, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met.
- Develop and implement individualized patient treatment plans, working collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
- Monitor patient symptoms and behavior, reporting any changes or concerns to the healthcare team.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare colleagues to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Educate patients on health maintenance and disease prevention, promoting healthy behaviors and outcomes.
- Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities as needed.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medical records, adhering to regulatory and clinical standards.
- Provide emotional support and guidance to patients and their families, fostering a positive and compassionate care environment.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in nursing or related medical fields, with a strong foundation in patient care and clinical skills.
- Familiarity with medical software and equipment, with the ability to adapt to new technologies and systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients, families, and healthcare colleagues.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a focus on patient safety and quality care.
