Your Role
As the Accounting Services Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance and operational efficiency by collaborating closely with both the operations and administrative teams. You will be responsible for managing internal controls and nurturing talent within the accounting and administrative staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations and provide guidance to the accounting and administration team while supporting operational needs.
- Implement and promote policies, procedures, and internal controls tailored to specific areas.
- Deliver comprehensive accounting support, including accounts receivable, payroll, accounts payable, customer work management, job costing, and inventory management.
- Ensure precise recording and recognition of revenue streams.
- Drive process enhancements and improvements.
- Assist in preparing contract bids and managing the bid-to-contract process.
- Develop contracts and projects within the ERP system.
- Facilitate communication between area operations and corporate offices to address inquiries and requests.
- Provide detailed financial reports and analyses to leadership, highlighting project performance variances on a regular basis.
- Manage staffing requirements for accounting and administrative functions.
- Verify the accuracy and completeness of accounting documentation.
- Ensure compliance with internal and external audit requests.
- Maintain SOX compliance and perform additional responsibilities as assigned by leadership.
- A Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field is essential.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, administration, operations, or a related discipline.
- At least 3 years of leadership experience in accounting, administration, operations, or a related area.
