Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Busser to join our team. As a Busser, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dining room and kitchen. Your primary responsibility will be to provide exceptional customer service by ensuring that our guests have a great dining experience every time they visit.

Key Responsibilities

1. Provide leadership, coaching, and direction to Waitstaff
2. Prepare Floor Map and Waiter/Waitress listing and obtain approval from Management before posting
3. Assist with the transition to the mid-shift (if applicable)
4. Greets guests in a timely and friendly manner
5. Handles guest concerns and complaints properly and in a calm, professional manner using LAST (Listen, Apologize, Solve, and Thank) approach
6. Ensures that our guest have a great dining experience every time they visit by following the GOLDEN Rules of service:

• G - Greet guests immediately with a SMILE
• O - Offer suggestions and assistance to our guests
• L - Leave a great impression on your guests
• D - Deliver food that is hot, fresh and delicious
• E - Ensure that everything is clean and organized
• N - Never leave a guest unhappy-Do what it takes to make it right

Communicates with Management on any guest comments or complaintsEnsures 30 minutes Bathroom cleaning procedures are being performedResponsible for monitoring and ensuring Waitstaff compliance with all company procedures and guidelinesMonitors shift close-out by Waitstaff & checks all server stations using the close-out checklistEffectively communicates product, equipment, or operational issues to Management in a timely mannerWashes hands frequentlyAssist Management in any way that is conducive to the efficient operation of the cafeFollows Daily Departmental Closing Procedures and checks with Management before leavingRequirements

1. Must be at least 18 years of age
2. Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs
3. Must be able to bend, stoop, reach, and wipe
4. Must be able to stand for long periods of time and move around at a brisk pace
5. Must be able to work well under stress and exercise good judgment when dealing with guest problems and complaints
6. Must be able to work on time in a company-approved uniform
7. Must maintain a professional appearance at all times
8. Must actively participate in daily Huddles
9. Must possess excellent communication skills and be a customer service champion
10. Must be able to effectively communicate with guests and other team members
11. Must follow proper food handling, safety, sanitation, and cleaning standards per The Toasted Yolk Food Safety & Sanitation Manual
12. Must be knowledgeable of menu items, food quality standards, promotions, and daily specials
13. Must be knowledgeable of Food-to-Go procedures and be able to accurately package Food-to-Go orders
14. Must be able to work as a team with all staff and Management
15. May be required to assist and/or give breaks in other departments
