Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Paramedic Education Specialist to join our team at Stark State College. As a key member of our faculty, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality education to our students in the field of Emergency Medical Services (EMS).

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement curriculum that meets the National Standards and Ohio Department of Public Safety (ODPS) requirements.
  • Deliver didactic and laboratory education to students, ensuring a comprehensive learning experience.
  • Supervise and evaluate students, providing constructive feedback to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Prepare reports and maintain accurate student records, ensuring compliance with college and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with the Department Chair and EMS Program Coordinator to maintain accreditations and ODPS Charter.
  • Promote the college's EMS program, associate degree, and other relevant training programs to potential students and stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Current Ohio Department of Public Safety Paramedic Certification.
  • Current Ohio Department of Public Safety Fire and Emergency Services Instructor II Certification.
  • Associate's degree or higher in a directly-related field from a nationally recognized accrediting institution or the ability to complete the Associate's degree within one year of hire.
  • Current and valid Ohio driver's license.
