The Occupational Therapist II provides patient-centered care while working under the direction of the Rehabilitation Leadership Team. This includes evaluation, assessment, and treatment planning based on functional needs. The therapist works with an interdisciplinary team to coordinate care and adjust the treatment plan as necessary. Additionally, the Occupational Therapist II may participate in department-wide process improvement initiatives and program development.
Responsibilities- Evaluate and assess patients to determine their functional needs and develop treatment plans accordingly.
- Work with an interdisciplinary team to coordinate care and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Participate in department-wide process improvement initiatives and program development.
- Minimum one (1) year of clinical experience.
- Preferred: Clinical affiliation in Pediatrics.
- Completion of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
- Preferred: Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in a related field.
- Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English effectively at a level appropriate for the safe and effective performance of the job.
- Attention to detail, vigilance, poise, and composure in stressful situations.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; interpersonal relationship and collaboration.
- Excellent critical thinking, judgment, and problem-solving skills.
- Basic Life Support (BLS); CA Occupational Therapy licensure.
Medium - High energy level. Lift and carry 40-50 lbs. Push/pull +/- lbs. (Patients on bed, stretcher) Lateral transfer lbs. (ie. Patient).
