Job Overview:
The Field Engineer plays a crucial role in supporting the Project Engineer and Project Superintendent. The primary objectives include monitoring production, planning operations, and effectively managing project data.
Key Responsibilities:

1. Collaborate with foremen and superintendents to ensure that work plans are meticulously tracked and analyzed to enhance field operations efficiency.

2. Develop, maintain, and report daily installed and performed quantities.

3. Analyze and compare budgeted versus actual production rates and material yields.

4. Conduct quantity take-offs from plans and reconcile weekly field quantities with planned quantities.

5. Assist in creating Work Activity Plans.

6. Provide monthly quantity reports for owner verification and billing purposes.

7. Ensure that field work adheres to project standards and specifications.

8. Offer support to project engineers and superintendents as needed.

9. Organize and maintain Plan Drawings, Revisions, and As-Builts.

10. Assist in maintaining all Project Logs.

11. Assess and monitor ordered quantities against the materials budget.

12. Maintain the Notevault Diary and provide schedule updates to the Project Engineer.

13. Initiate and manage Field Operations Reports.

14. Develop Look Ahead Schedules in collaboration with the project superintendent.

15. Present information effectively in one-on-one and small group settings, including interactions with managers and team members.

16. Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, procedure manuals, contracts, and purchase orders.

17. Undertake other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Proficient in Primavera 3 and 6.
• Strong skills in MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint.
• Effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
• Ability to multitask, demonstrate initiative, and possess a passion for construction excellence.
• Knowledge of basic algebra, geometry, and construction math concepts.
• Valid driver's license for occasional travel.
• Competence in problem-solving, data collection, and drawing valid conclusions.
• Ability to interpret technical instructions in various formats and manage abstract and concrete variables.
• Moderate physical activity with some exposure to outdoor conditions.
• Manual dexterity for handling items and performing tasks.
