Position Overview: As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), your primary responsibility is to deliver routine daily nursing care to assigned residents in accordance with established nursing care protocols and under the guidance of licensed nursing staff.

Qualifications:

  • Must be a registered certified nurse's aide in compliance with state regulations.
  • CPR certification is preferred but not mandatory.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Prior experience in long-term care is advantageous but not required.
  • New graduates are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Address the nursing and rehabilitation needs of each resident.
  • Engage in the planning and implementation of current resident care plans for all residents under your supervision.
  • Complete resident assignments efficiently and in a timely manner.
  • Monitor changes in resident conditions and report them promptly.
  • Maintain accurate and thorough documentation.
  • Assist residents with personal grooming needs.
  • Respond promptly to call lights and ensure they are accessible to residents.
  • Ensure resident care areas are kept clean and orderly.
  • Maintain proper identification methods for residents.
  • Exhibit correct safety practices in accordance with training and your specific job description.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Specific Requirements:

  • Knowledge of restorative nursing and rehabilitation policies is essential.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language is required.
  • Capacity to make independent decisions when necessary.
  • Ability to interact tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, and the general public.
  • Willingness to collaborate harmoniously with both professional and non-professional staff.
  • Possess patience, tact, a positive attitude, and enthusiasm, along with the ability to manage challenging residents.
  • Openness to exploring new methods and principles and integrating them into existing nursing practices.
  • Effective communication skills for discussing emergency situations with appropriate personnel.
