Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Management
- Direct and manage a team of nursing professionals to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve patient satisfaction, quality of care, and operational efficiency.
- Clinical Operations
- Oversee the delivery of high-quality patient care, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and Ascension's standards of care.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure safe and effective patient care.
- Staffing and Development
- Recruit, hire, and develop a high-performing nursing team, ensuring adequate staffing levels and skill mix.
- Provide ongoing education and training to nursing staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Financial Management
- Develop and manage departmental budgets, ensuring effective use of resources and achieving financial targets.
- Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing cost-saving initiatives.
- Education
- Bachelor's degree in nursing or diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required.
- Master's degree or combination of Bachelor's degree and experience preferred.
- Experience
- 5 years of experience in nursing leadership or management required.
- 10 years of experience in nursing leadership or management preferred.
- Certifications
- Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Kansas Board of Nursing required.
- BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) preferred.
