Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Cath Lab Technologist to join our team at Emerald Health Services. As a Cath Lab Technologist, you will be responsible for assisting in the diagnosis and treatment of patients by performing various medical procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of the cath lab, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Operate and maintain various medical equipment, including X-ray machines and ultrasound devices.
  • Prepare patients for procedures, including administering medications and positioning patients for optimal imaging.
  • Assist the physician during procedures, including monitoring patient vital signs and maintaining a sterile environment.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient procedures and outcomes.
Requirements:
  • 1 year of experience as a Cath Lab Technologist or related field.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks accordingly.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with X-ray and ultrasound equipment.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
