Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Equipment Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Texas First Rentals, LLC. In this role, you will be responsible for performing maintenance and repairs on complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems.

About the Role

This is a full-time position that requires more than five years of work-related skill, knowledge, or experience in the field of dirt-engaging equipment, aerial, and lifting equipment maintenance. You will work independently, using your problem-solving skills to diagnose equipment malfunctions and failures. Your expertise in machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance will be essential in this role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoots and diagnoses equipment malfunctions and failures
  • Disassembles and assembles machine components to manufacturer's specifications through the use of hand tools, pneumatic tools, and any specialized tooling
  • Rebuilds, repairs, reconditions, and maintains equipment and components
  • Maintains good customer relations and support; communicates customer needs to shop management
  • Plans and controls cost of repair jobs
  • Completes parts orders and identifies parts for return
  • Maintains company equipment – keeps in good, clean, and orderly condition
  • Works safely at all times and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards
Requirements
  • More than five years of work-related skill, knowledge, or experience preferred
  • High school/equivalent diploma or trade school diploma preferred
  • Valid driver's license
Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits program, including complete health care, 401(k) matching & Profit-Sharing plan (ROTH and traditional), paid holidays, and a front-loaded PTO program.

Work Environment

This role requires frequent movement and use of limbs, good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina. You will work indoors around moving mechanical parts and may be exposed to weather extremes when working outside. Noise level may be loud at times, and you may be exposed to small quantities of chemicals, steam, high-pressure water, and high-speed rotating equipment.
