Job Title:

A heavy equipment mechanic technician is required to provide technical support and repair services for our fleet of construction equipment and vehicles.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience as a mechanic and possess knowledge of systems within heavy, medium, and light-duty trucks, tractors, trailers, and construction equipment. They must be able to work overtime, weekends, and nights as needed, and pass a physical examination and drug and alcohol screenings. Excellent communication and computer skills are essential for this role.

Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and repair issues with various types of construction equipment and vehicles
  • Clean, lubricate, and conduct routine services on heavy-duty and light-duty vehicles and equipment
  • Test drive vehicles after repairs are complete to ensure mechanical soundness
  • Maintain work logs, repairs, and maintenance records
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Completion of equipment mechanics training course desired
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a mechanic
  • Knowledge of systems within heavy, medium, and light-duty trucks, tractors, trailers, and construction equipment
  • Ability to work overtime, weekends, and nights as needed
Physical Requirements:
  • Majority of work performed in a mechanic shop exposed to outside temperatures
  • Work includes heavy lifting (typically up to 50-100 lbs.)
  • Exposure to noise, fumes, vibrations, and heights
Salary:

The estimated salary range for this position is $26.00 - $31.50 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
