About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Laborer/Groundman to join our team at MasTec Communications Group. As a Laborer/Groundman, you will play a critical role in the construction and maintenance of our telecommunications infrastructure.

Responsibilities
  • Provide general labor support for aerial and underground construction projects
  • Conduct manual tasks such as digging trenches, unloading building materials, and preparing job sites
  • Operate hand tools like shovels, rakes, and picks
  • Conduct placement of conduit as directed by Foreman or Supervisor
  • Support with trench digging and closing
  • Conduct maintenance services as directed by Foreman, including cleanup, washing vehicles, and landscaping
  • Perform all duties according to prescribed safety procedures and use appropriate safety equipment
Requirements
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 70 lbs
  • Ability to read and understand maps, drawings, and diagrams for the project build process
  • Must pass UI Test (urinalysis)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced high volume work environment
