About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Laborer/Groundman to join our team at MasTec Communications Group. As a key member of our construction team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the successful completion of our projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide general labor support for aerial and underground construction projects
  • Conduct manual tasks such as digging trenches, unloading building materials, and preparing job sites
  • Conduct placement of conduit as directed by Foreman or Supervisor
  • Support with trench digging and closing
  • Support with the movement of materials and vehicles as directed by Foreman or Supervisor
  • Conduct maintenance services as directed by Foreman to include: cleanup, wash vehicles, landscaping
  • Perform all duties according to prescribed safety procedures and uses appropriate safety equipment
Requirements
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 70 lbs
  • Ability to read and understand maps, drawings, and diagrams for the project build process
  • Climbing certification or related experience
  • Practical working experience in overhead construction for both RF and Fiber
  • Knowledge of Overhead Bill of Materials
  • City, County, and State clearance code knowledge and related
  • Extensive knowledge of Network architecture and design for both RF and Fiber networks
  • Flagger Certified for field work as needed
