Job SummaryThe Early Childhood Educator is responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that fosters the cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development of young children. This role requires a strong understanding of child development and the ability to design and implement engaging educational programs. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and parents to ensure the best possible outcomes for children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement curriculum that aligns with early learning standards and promotes children's learning and development
  • Lead by example, demonstrating a commitment to ongoing professional development and a passion for teaching and learning
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues, promoting a culture of respect and inclusivity
  • Monitor and report on children's progress, identifying areas of strength and need, and developing strategies to support their growth and development
  • Collaborate with colleagues to plan and deliver high-quality educational programs that meet the needs of all children
  • Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of children, maintaining a clean and organized learning environment
  • Supervise and support teacher assistants and volunteers, promoting a culture of teamwork and collaboration
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
Requirements
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in early childhood education
  • Strong understanding of child development and early learning standards
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and parents
  • Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification
  • Associate's Degree in early childhood education or related field of study
