  • Setup and Operation of CNC Machines: Perform setup and operation of 3, 4, and 5-axis CNC mills, turning centers, and multi-axis machines, ensuring accurate and efficient production of complex parts.
  • Tight Tolerance Machining: Experience with tight tolerance aerospace/defense and semi-conductor NPI machining, with the ability to hold tolerances of +/- 0.0002.
  • Quality Control: Maintain a 90% efficiency rate during setup/operation and a scrap rate of less than 1%, ensuring high-quality production.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Read and follow job router, setup sheet, and work instructions, and provide feedback to improve process. Communicate with Engineering on issues, needs, and improvements.
  • Training and Development: Train and help develop less experienced machinists, ensuring a smooth transition of knowledge and skills.
  • Process Improvement: Maintain focus on process improvement and reduction of cycle times while maintaining quality, ensuring efficient production.
Requirements
  • 10+ Years of Experience: 10+ years of experience setting up and operating CNC 3, 4, and 5-axis mills, turning centers, and multi-axis machines.
  • Attention to Detail: Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to read and interpret blueprint dimensions, symbols, and notes.
  • Technical Knowledge: Excellent knowledge of machine and controller functions, machine tolerances, GD&T, and applications.
  • Communication Skills: Good communicator, with the ability to listen, ask questions, and provide solutions.
  • Education: High school diploma/GED.
Physical Demands

The employee is regularly required to stand for long periods of time, walk, and reach. The ability to lift products and supplies, up to 40 pounds. May be subject to cutting fluids, lubricants, metal chips, and moderate noises.
