About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil/Structural Engineer to join our team at ITAC. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for providing technical design leadership and expertise in heavy industrial structural design and construction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical design leadership and exercise independent judgment with minimal direction from management.
  • Conceptualize and finalize engineering designs, resolving technical design conflicts and managing structural design efforts for multiple projects.
  • Develop engineering drawings and documents with minimal direction from management, generating technical solutions to complex problems.
  • Perform design calculations, utilize computer-aided design equipment, and participate in project meetings as the structural team lead.
  • Work in and sometimes lead teams on large multi-discipline projects, thriving in a fast-paced, schedule-driven atmosphere and making and meeting commitments.
  • Perform field work, observing construction, monitoring budgets and schedules, and mentoring junior engineers.
  • Develop proposals, generate material take-offs and construction estimating, and travel for work within the Kentucky/Tennessee/Illinois/Missouri region.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in an ABET-accredited Civil or Structural Engineering program.
  • Possess or be on track to obtain a Kentucky Professional Engineer license within 6 months.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in structural design and analysis, preferably in the heavy industrial engineering field.
  • Excellent people and communication skills, with the ability to work on multiple projects and collaborate with other engineers/designers.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with structural design software such as Autodesk Revit, Risa 3D, Profis, Mathcad, AutoCAD, Advanced Steel, SAP2000, or STAAD.Pro.
  • Extensive knowledge of steel & concrete structures, foundation design, timber design, masonry design, architectural codes, site design, and permitting.
