Pharmacy Technician Trainee Program

Gundersen Health System is seeking highly motivated and customer service-driven individuals to join our Pharmacy Technician Trainee Program. This 12-week training opportunity provides full pay and benefits while trainees gain the knowledge and hands-on skills to prepare and sit for the national pharmacy technician certification exam.

Responsibilities:
  • Provides exceptional customer service to patients and Gundersen Health System staff, including triaging phone calls.
  • Monitors and files paperwork as directed by next-level staff and leaders.
  • Performs stocking of inventory and initiates pharmacy requisitions.
  • Packages products and prescriptions accurately for distribution to customers/patients.
  • Adheres to regular and predictable attendance and ensures patient safety.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalency + completion of Math and English competency.
  • Ability to work full-time (scheduled for 40 hours/week) with shifts including Day, PM, and rotating weekend hours.
  • Ability to work at the following locations (rotating): West Salem, La Crosse, and Onalaska.
Education and Learning:

REQUIRED

High School Diploma or equivalency + completion of Math and English competency
