Housekeeping Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Custodial Worker/Housekeeping Aid to join our team at the Coast Guard Community Services Command. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of our public areas, guest rooms, and laundry facilities.

• Clean and sanitize public areas, including bathrooms, lobbies, corridors, lounges, kitchens, and stairwells
• Perform daily washing, drying, folding, and storage of all towels, washcloths, bathmats, shower curtains, and other items
• Check rooms for articles left behind by guests and store them in a secure location
• Stock housekeeping carts with all necessary supplies and maintain inventory control
• Assist with MWR sponsored events, including setup, teardown, and cleanup
• Perform related duties as assigned

• No previous experience or training is required
• Must be able to follow oral and written instructions
• Must be able to use hand or lightweight powered cleaning tools or equipment
• Must be physically able to frequently lift and carry items weighing up to 40 pounds
• Must be able to continuously stand, stoop, and reach for long periods of time
• Must be able to work an irregular tour of duty to include days, nights, weekends, and holidays
