Role Summary

The MRI Imaging Specialist will be responsible for conducting high-quality MRI examinations as per the directives of healthcare providers while adhering to established protocols and company policies. This role involves precise patient positioning, capturing accurate anatomical images, and ensuring optimal patient care through effective teamwork. The specialist will also maintain the necessary equipment and supplies for performing examinations. Excellent communication skills are essential for this position, which requires a full range of motion, including the ability to assist and lift patients.

Qualifications and Skills

  • High School Diploma is mandatory
  • Valid Certified Radiologic Technologist license is required
  • AART (MR) Technologist Certification is essential
  • Current BLS Certification is necessary
  • Preferred: Minimum one year of MRI experience
  • Preferred: Experience in orthopaedics
  • Ability to initiate IVs and administer contrast media for imaging studies
  • Proficient in using email and internet applications
  • Familiarity with practice management and word processing software
  • Professional demeanor and pleasant speaking voice
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Professional appearance is expected

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA and compliance standards
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of electronic health records and relevant software
  • Accurately document each patient interaction
  • Effectively manage patient care throughout the imaging process
  • Conduct high-quality MRI examinations in line with established protocols
