Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Medical Educator to join our team as an OB and Med Surg Adjunct Faculty member. As a key member of our academic department, you will play a vital role in developing, coordinating, and facilitating the theoretical and clinical education of nursing students. Your expertise in OB and med surg nursing will enable you to make a meaningful contribution to the educational experience of our students and help shape the next generation of healthcare professionals.
About the Role
This is a part-time position that requires flexibility and adaptability, with a variable schedule that may include daytime, evening, and weekend shifts. You will be responsible for teaching and mentoring nursing students in both classroom and clinical settings, developing and implementing curricula, evaluating student performance, and participating in faculty meetings and committee work. We offer competitive compensation and benefits, including a salary range of $40.70 - $59.20 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must have a current licensure in the State of New York and a bachelor's degree with a major in nursing from an accredited program. A minimum of four years' experience in med surg and/or OB nursing is required, with formal teaching experience and supervision of students in a medical, surgical or specialty area being highly desirable. National League for Nursing Certification as a Nurse Educator is preferred, but not mandatory. You must also be proficient in BLS/CPR rescues and have computer literacy.
