About the Role:
Jobot Consulting is seeking a skilled Locums Anesthesiologist to provide anesthesia care for various surgical procedures in a dynamic medical environment.
Responsibilities:
- Administer anesthesia and monitor patients during surgical procedures.
- Customize anesthesia techniques based on patients' needs and surgical requirements.
- Collaborate effectively with surgical teams to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Assess patients' medical histories, physical conditions, and medications to determine anesthesia suitability.
- Monitor patients' vital signs, blood gases, and other parameters during surgery.
- Manage postoperative pain and recovery.
- Document patient care activities accurately and maintain medical records.
- Communicate with medical staff and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient management.
- Adhere to hospital policies, guidelines, and safety protocols for a sterile surgical environment.
Requirements:
- Valid California medical license and Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Anesthesiology.
- Completion of an accredited Anesthesiology residency program.
- Minimum availability of 1 week per month with ongoing availability.
- Strong understanding of anesthesia techniques, medications, and equipment.
- Experience with cases including General, GI, ENT, GYN, Ortho, Vascular, Thoracic, Urology, Plastics, Ophthalmology is preferred.
- Comfortable with 8-hour shifts and rotating call schedules, including weekends.
- Ability to manage own cases and provide comprehensive anesthesia care.
- Dedicated to patient safety, quality care, and ethical medical practice.
