The CT Technologist is a key member of the Radiology team at Terre Haute Regional Hospital, responsible for producing high-quality computerized tomographic scanner radiographs of designated anatomical areas.
Key Responsibilities- Perform Computerized Tomography Scans following established protocols and procedures.
- Review physician orders and diagnoses prior to scanning, and discuss with Radiologists as needed.
- Review appropriate lab values prior to administration of IV Contrast.
- Utilize iSTAT to obtain lab results.
- Use of power injector for contrast administration.
- Perform Scanner Quality Control testing as needed.
- Explain procedures to patients and address their concerns.
- Assist physicians with invasive procedures.
- Utilize knowledge of age-specific needs of patients in performance of duties and responsibilities.
- Graduate of an accredited program for Radiographers.
- Currently licensed through American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) with advanced certification in CT or must obtain advanced certification through ARRT within 12 months of hire date.
- Current state licensure or permit to practice medical imagining.
- Customer service abilities including effective listening skills.
- Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
- Certification: BLS and ARRT must be maintained throughout employment with Terre Haute Regional Hospital.
