Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Assistant Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering to join our faculty at the University of Washington Tacoma. This is a tenure-track position with a 9-month service period and an expected start date of September 16, 2025.

Responsibilities
  • Teach computer engineering courses related to your field, including lower and upper division electrical and computer engineering courses and other courses of your own design.
  • Develop and maintain an independent, high-quality, high-impact research program in novel cutting-edge areas of computer engineering, including artificial intelligence, machine learning, data analytics, and virtual and augmented reality.
  • Participate in institutional, professional, and community-engaged service, including community partnerships and outreach.
Qualifications
  • An earned Ph.D. (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, or closely related field.
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in teaching and research/scholarship in your area of expertise.
What We Offer
  • A competitive salary range of $13,047 to $13,278 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
  • A one-time relocation allowance, if applicable.
