The Travel Radiology Technician plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality imaging services across various healthcare settings. This position requires a commitment to excellence and a passion for patient care.
Certification Requirements- ARRT, BLS, and Certified CT Technologist - ARRT (CT) are mandatory.
- A valid Nevada license is essential.
- Familiarity with equipment from GE, Philips, Hologic, Fuji, and Shimadzu is preferred.
- Specialty: Radiology
- Experience: Minimum of one year in a similar role.
- Imaging Expertise: Proficient in understanding positions, operating machinery, and conducting common studies.
- Department Capacity: 1 scanner/room available.
- Daily Workload: Average of 30-50 scans/studies across all modalities.
- Orientation: 4 hours of hospital orientation followed by 4-5 days of department-specific training.
- Mandatory certifications include ARRT, BLS, and Certified CT Technologist - ARRT (CT).
- General certification requirements: BLS.
- Specialty certification requirements: ARRT and a valid Nevada license.
- Shifts: 10-hour shifts, with scheduling managed by the Director.
- Weekend Requirements: Day shifts for 4-10 hours, with potential night call. Weekend shifts vary based on demand.
- Holiday Requirements: On-call during holidays, included in the rotation.
- Call Response: 30 minutes response time required.
- Department: Radiology | X-ray
- Scanner/Room Availability: 1 scanner/room.
- Imaging Expertise: Knowledge of positions, machinery, and common studies.
- Average Daily Scans: 30-50 across all modalities.
- EMR System: Meditech, Med Web.
- Floating Requirements: Must be able to float between ED, inpatient, outpatient, and C-arm in OR. Fluoroscopy (ARRT/NV license qualifies) for all ages.
- Radiologist Availability: No in-house radiologist; can consult via phone as needed.
- IV Start Requirement: Nursing staff will initiate IVs.
- Scrub Color: Any professional scrub color is acceptable.
