Mill Electrical Technician

Job Title: Mill Electrical Technician Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Mill Electrical Technician to join our team at KGHM, International Ltd. As a Mill Electrical Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting electrical and instrumentation systems in a mine and process environment. Key Responsibilities: * Maintain, service, install, and troubleshoot electrical and instrumentation systems * Assist other departments as needed * Maintain a clean work environment * Participate in cross-training * Ability to work extended hours, non-standard shifts, and respond to call-outs * Participate in job planning * Participate in meetings and discussions * Be a role model to others in safe behavior Requirements: * Electrical and instrumentation experience * Familiarity with 3-phase, 480-volt motor circuitry and basic trouble-shooting techniques * Ability to follow blueprints, sketches, diagrams, and manuals for installation and troubleshooting circuitry * Experience with medium and high voltage switchgear switching and troubleshooting required * Knowledge of the National Electric Code and NFPA-70E is required * Valid Driver's License Preferred Qualifications: * Journeyman Electrician (licensed in the State of Nevada) * Two (2) plus years mining experience in Electrical and Instrumentation preferred * Medium and High Voltage troubleshooting & maintenance experience * Working knowledge of MSHA laws, particularly those pertaining to electrical and instrumentation installation and maintenance is a plus Technical Skills: * Same as Required Work Experience Travel Requirements: * N/A Supervisory Responsibilities: * N/A Physical Demands: * Heavy: Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly Other Duties: This position is designated working a rotating day shift schedule. However, the Electrician/Instrumentation Technician is expected to be able to respond to call-outs on off-shifts as required. Successful applicants must provide their own hand tools.
