As a Front Office Associate at Insight Imaging (NC), you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our front office. Your primary responsibility will be to provide exceptional customer service to patients and referring professionals by answering phones, scheduling appointments, and registering patients in a timely and professional manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Registration: Greet and check-in patients scheduled for imaging services, register demographic information, and process payment plans and copays.
  • Phone Handling: Answer phones and handle calls in an efficient and friendly manner, fielding calls appropriately for center associates and acting as liaison between technologists and patients waiting for exams.
  • Scheduling: Arrange transportation, interpreters, and hotel accommodations for patients when necessary, enter and submit patient exam orders, verify orders match exam schedules, and schedule referrals and ensure proper authorizations are obtained.
  • Insurance: Verify patient insurance, pre-certify all exams with patient's insurance company, obtain insurance authorization, and handle release of information requests for patients, referring offices, other medical facilities, attorneys & insurance companies following Company guidelines.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • 1-2 years customer service experience.
  • Proficient with using computer systems and typing.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous medical office experience.
  • Medical terminology and office background.
  • Insurance knowledge.
  • Bilingual.
