About the RoleThe Environmental Services Director will be responsible for providing general oversight and maintenance of our property, including all major utility, life safety, and security systems. This includes monitoring the condition of systems and forecasting needs for repairs or replacement, as well as managing preventative maintenance services and contracts in accordance with facility guidelines.
Key Responsibilities- Property Maintenance: Provide general oversight and maintenance of property, including all major utility, life safety, and security systems.
- System Monitoring: Monitor the condition of systems and forecast needs for repairs or replacement.
- Maintenance Management: Manage preventative maintenance services and contracts in accordance with facility guidelines.
- Staff Supervision: Supervise maintenance and housekeeping staff, including hiring, training, and coaching.
- Workload Management: Schedule staff and manage daily workload for the timely completion of work orders and apartment turnovers.
- Emergency Response: Provide 24/7 emergency on-call response and schedule staff to provide emergency maintenance coverage.
- Safety and Security: Promote a safe environment for staff, residents, and visitors, and identify concerns through regular inspection of building and grounds.
- Leadership: Lead or co-lead the Safety Committee and conduct community emergency drills.
- Experience: Three to five years of multi-housing maintenance experience.
- Skills: Ability to troubleshoot appliances, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry issues.
- Licenses: Current driver's license in good standing.
- Preferred Qualifications: Preferred experience working with seniors in an assisted living setting, and vocational or technical training or associate degree in an industrial energy or related field.
