Children's Healthcare of Atlanta is seeking a highly skilled Medical Technologist 2 to join our team. As a key member of our laboratory services team, you will be responsible for providing quality clinical information by accurately performing laboratory tests and procedures.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Perform technical functions of Medical Technologist, including laboratory tests and procedures, with minimal technical supervision.
  • Follow departmental and system policies and procedures, including those pertaining to compliance and safety.
  • Perform administrative tasks, such as revising forms, training checklists, and regulatory documents.
  • Manage staff workflow and supply inventory to ensure services are delivered in a fiscally responsible manner.
  • Provide technical support for staff and act as a preceptor for staff training and orientation.
  • Designate for competencies and perform quality control, instrument validation, maintenance review, and troubleshooting tasks.
  • Act as a resource technologist on off-shifts and perform specialty testing.
  • Initiate and lead implementation of lean process improvement ideas to promote a lean culture.

**Requirements**

  • 3 years of experience in a high complexity clinical laboratory.
  • Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology, chemical, biological, or clinical laboratory science from an accredited institution.
  • Eligible for Georgia Department of Human Resources supervisor classification.

**Preferred Qualifications**
