We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the Ambulatory Clinic at North Mississippi Health Services.
Job Summary:The successful candidate will utilize the nursing process to provide high-quality patient care, document accordingly, and maintain compliance with NMHS policies and requirements.
Responsibilities:- Utilize the nursing process to provide safe, quality patient care and document accordingly.
- Maintain compliance with all NMHS policies and requirements as directed by the Nurse Manager and Educator.
- Provide patient/family education and act as a resource for existing staff and new employees.
- Participate in the Preceptor class to ensure proper training of new employees.
- Maintain communication with multidisciplinary team members to provide holistic care to the patient.
- Attend daily huddles on each unit to ensure proper assignments and identify team members for the shift.
- Project a caring, friendly, and helpful image to patients and other customers.
- Maintain competency by staying informed of changing trends in the nursing practice.
- Attend annual review and unit specifics within the department.
- Perform required continuing education hours online and in classroom.
- Comply with regulatory and accrediting agency requirements.
- Licensed by the board of Nursing for the state.
- ASLS Certified for Emergency Room.
- NIH - National Institute of Health Stroke Scale Certification.
