About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Psychiatrist to join our multidisciplinary team at Optimum Care Counseling and Wellness Solutions, LLC. As a key member of our team, you will provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, develop individualized treatment plans, and offer ongoing care to children, adults, and the elderly remotely in your home office.

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing psychiatric services to clients virtually using the ICANotes platform, including outpatient psychiatric evaluations and medication management services during scheduled hours.
  • Assessing, diagnosing, and treating children, adolescents, adults, and the elderly experiencing symptoms of behavioral health disorders.
  • Managing medications by prescribing, recommending, or discontinuing drugs and treatments to treat mental, emotional, or behavioral disorders.
  • Efficiently working with therapists, social workers, or other members of the OCCWS treatment team to coordinate client care.
  • Timely and accurate completion of medical records, including assessment, treatment plan, progress notes, outcome measures in ICANotes.
  • Providing counseling to clients during appointments as necessary.
  • Establishing/ modifying individualized treatment plans based on assessments and/or evaluations incorporating best and leading practices into treatment interventions.
  • Ordering clients' laboratory or diagnostic tests, examining their results that provide information on their general physical conditions and mental disorders.
  • Communicating with clients' guardians, relatives, and significant others on their conditions and treatment when clinically appropriate.
  • Documenting services provided in compliance with OCCWS regulations and practice, all local, state, and federal laws, as well as payor rules and regulations.
  • Facilitating improvement in service quality.
  • Establishing open lines of communication for individuals with mental or emotional issues.
  • Offering assistance to individuals with mental and behavioral issues.
  • Providing prevention-oriented, cognitive behavior, dialectical behavior, or psychoanalysis therapies.
  • Developing and implementing treatment plans.
  • Collaborating with our in-house Psychiatrist and Psychiatrist Nurse Practitioners, other treatment providers, and placement agencies.
  • Ensuring all documentation is completed in a timely manner.
  • Completing all online ICANotes training videos necessary for this position (paid training usually 10-15 hours dependent on provider).
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
  • Board certification in Psychiatry.
  • Valid state medical license to practice psychiatry.
  • Graduate from a state-certified advanced practice program specializing in psychiatry/mental health.
Preferred Qualifications
  • At least 1-2 years providing direct client care to persons receiving treatment for psychiatric disorders.
  • Ability to work with children, adolescents, adults, and the elderly.
Additional Skills
  • Experience in delivering high-quality, client-centered care.
  • Independently able to document in and navigate ICANotes, OCCWS' EHR system - after training.
  • Conforming to HIPAA privacy standards.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and interact with individuals involved in all aspects of treatment – children, parents, school faculty and staff, other shareholders, and the OCCWS team members.
  • Serves as a representative of OCCWS, displaying courtesy, tact, consideration, and discretion in all interactions with OCCWS team members, clients, school system staff and faculty, grantors, funders, regulators, and members of the general public.
  • Proficiency in computers, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work effectively with OCCWS multidisciplinary team.
  • Language Skills: ability to read, analyze, and interpret general and professional documents.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
  • Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
  • Ability to foster teamwork; train and direct the work of team members and colleagues.
  • Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to work productively and make independent decisions.
About Optimum Care Counseling and Wellness Solutions, LLC

Optimum Care Counseling and Wellness Solutions, LLC is a private outpatient practice that is growing and changing to meet the needs of our patients. We are currently recruiting talented and experienced psychiatrists who are open to treating our diverse population across the entire state of Pennsylvania. We are currently serving patients in all 67 counties. Based on patient needs and demands, we are among the few practices in the state currently offering diagnosis and treatment for ADD/ADHD with the use of FDA-approved testing approved by insurance.
