The Zoetis NextGen ERP initiative is a comprehensive, long-term project aimed at enhancing our enterprise resource planning capabilities and revolutionizing our operational workflows. The US Indirect Tax Transformation Lead will play a pivotal role within the NextGen ERP tax team, reporting directly to the Tax Lead of the project. This position is essential for collaborating across various departments, particularly within the Finance workstream, to ensure the successful execution of an upgraded business process and technological framework.

This role presents a unique opportunity to engage in the implementation of SAP S/4HANA, focusing on tax compliance and the effective integration of tax functionalities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Accountable for the accurate configuration of indirect tax features within the S/4HANA system for the US, ensuring alignment with compliance standards.
  • Oversee the setup and testing of tax-related functionalities within the S/4HANA environment and tax determination solutions.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including finance, technology, and tax departments, to collect requirements and design effective solutions for indirect tax processes.
  • Partner with Solution Integrator consultants to guarantee adherence to US tax regulations and best practices.
  • Provide training and support to end-users during the implementation phase, ensuring they are well-versed in indirect tax processes and system functionalities.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or tax, or equivalent professional experience.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in US indirect taxation.
  • Understanding of tax reporting, master data management, and taxability factors in order-to-cash and procure-to-pay processes (experience with S/4HANA and tax engine implementations is advantageous).
  • In-depth knowledge of US indirect taxes and tax determination systems, with the ability to translate strategies into financial terms.
  • Capable of analyzing complex issues and developing standardized, best practice solutions.
  • Experience with SAP systems is required.
