Key Responsibilities of the Senior Estimator:
Conducting thorough analysis of bidding documents and evaluating current site conditions to define the scope of work, including general conditions and specifications.

  • Offering alternative scope options based on site conditions, engineering specifications, and budget considerations.
  • Recognizing all relevant code regulations.
  • Mitigating risks associated with the scope of work and ensuring all related expenses are included in the proposal.
  • Assessing subcontractor bids for adherence to bidding documents.
  • Overseeing Requests for Information (RFI) and change order processes.
  • Compiling submittal packages.
  • Coordinating preconstruction activities to enhance project efficiency and profitability.
  • Leveraging established relationships with suppliers of materials and equipment.
  • Performing additional tasks as required.

Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in estimating commercial electrical projects valued over $2M.
- Proven experience in leading an estimating team of two or more members.
- Expertise in estimating methodologies, cost management, and analyzing cost data.
- Familiarity with estimating software such as Accubid Enterprise, LiveCount, etc.
- Knowledge of bid collaboration platforms.
- Excellent communication abilities.
- Capability to prioritize and efficiently complete tasks.
- Proficient in data analysis and system management.
- Strong skills in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
