Maintenance Technician Job Description

HRA is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of our community grounds and buildings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Routine Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks on community grounds and parking areas, including policing, sweeping, and blowing as necessary.
  • Floor Care: Maintain floors by cleaning, deodorizing, and sanitizing in a timely manner to ensure a safe and healthy environment.
  • Specialized Tasks: Strip, seal, and wax floors as needed, and inspect hallways and common areas daily for needed carpet cleaning.
  • Trash Removal: Perform community trash removal and ensure that all maintenance items are kept in a safe area to prevent injuries.
  • Emergency Response: Be on-call for weekends and holidays in the event of a maintenance emergency and report equipment malfunctions or breakdowns to the supervisor.
  • Confidentiality: Maintain resident confidentiality and be mindful of resident rights to privacy when interacting with residents and family members.

Requirements: The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, and prior experience in maintenance or a related field is preferred.
