Key Responsibilities- Coordinate Patient Care: Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Participate in Patient and Family Teaching: Educate patients and families on health management, disease prevention, and wellness strategies.
- Support Clinical Personnel: Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care and support the activities of the clinical team.
- Direct Patient Care: Utilize the Nursing Process to treat patients with a variety of medical and surgical health problems.
- Collaborate with Interdisciplinary Team: Work with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and provide direction to non-licensed personnel.
- Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, ADN; BSN strongly preferred.
- License: Current New York State Professional Nurse License.
- Experience: Registered Nurse experience in Long Term Care, Subacute, or Acute Care settings preferred.
- Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to perform technical aspects of job with unit-based equipment; ability to work in a team environment; ability to meet demands of unit staffing.
May be exposed to disagreeable conditions, including odors, communicable diseases, infections, and injuries from patients or equipment.
