Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Bus Fleet Attendant to join our team at Transdev. As a key member of our maintenance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our bus fleet.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintenance and Fueling: Maintain and fuel all school buses, activity, and commercial buses in conjunction with Transdev's Maintenance Department.
  • Inventory Management: Dispense fuel, check oil, maintain accurate stick and meter readings, stock required supplies and equipment, and coordinate the flow of buses to ensure safe operation.
  • Light Maintenance: Perform light maintenance as necessary to buildings and grounds, including yard cleanliness, grass and weeds, and other yard projects as assigned.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records and complete Bulk Fuel Receiving Report, Fuel Variance Report, Closing Month-end Report, and Meter Calibration Report.
  • Supply Management: Notify the Contract Manager or designee when a fuel delivery is required and ensure that accurate stick readings are taken before and after delivery.
  • Tire and Vehicle Inspection: Check tires for damage and proper air pressure twice a week and report any damage to the shop immediately.
  • Physical Damage Inspection: Inspect all buses during fueling or on a regularly scheduled basis for physical damage and report any damage to the Contract Manager or designee immediately.
  • Spill Containment: Contain fuel spills and notify the Contract Manager or designee immediately.
  • Minor Repairs: Perform minor repairs and facilitate the washing of buses, including but not limited to seat repair, two-way radio installation and replacement, AM-FM radio installation and replacement, and antenna installation and replacement.
  • Cleanliness: Clean interiors and exteriors of buses as required to maintain cleanliness of the fleet.
  • Building and Grounds Maintenance: Perform maintenance of buildings and grounds, including yard cleanliness, grass and weeds, and other yard projects as assigned.
  • Credentials: Maintain the appropriate credentials to drive a regular route or charter as required to cover the day's activities.
  • Part Delivery: Pick up and deliver parts and buses as needed.
  • Safety Protocols: Follow all safety standards and guidelines, including but not limited to the wearing of Safety Glasses, steel-toed safety shoes, safety gloves as needed, and proper attire.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of bus maintenance, ability to ensure safety, and valid Driver's License.
