Opportunity for a Geospatial Science Expert

We are looking for a strong candidate to join the transportation science team at Amazon, where they will work on solving challenging problems at the interface of ML/AI and GIS for last mile delivery programs. This involves using Earth-scale datasets to affect hundreds of thousands of transporters.

  • Develop and implement machine learning models
  • Presentation of research results to stakeholders
  • Collaboration with software development engineers (SDEs) to implement the models in production

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of experience in building models for business applications
  • PhD or Master's degree with 4+ years of experience in Computer Science, Civil Engineering, Machine Learning, or related fields
  • Experience in patents or publications at top-tier peer-reviewed conferences or journals
  • Programming skills in Java, C++, Python, or related languages
  • Knowledge of algorithms and data structures, parsing, numerical optimization, data mining, parallel and distributed computing, high-performance computing
