About the Job:


We are seeking a Part-time Courtesy Clerk to join our team at SUPERVALU. As a Courtesy Clerk, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and assisting with various tasks as needed.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Provide prompt, efficient, and friendly customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Assist customers with finding products, loading/unloading heavy items, and making note of customer suggestions or requests.
  • Work with co-workers as a team to ensure customer satisfaction and a pleasant work environment.
  • Understand and practice proper sanitation procedures, ensuring the janitorial area is always clean and neat.
  • Remove trash in a timely manner and condition shelves as needed.
  • Maintain strict adherence to department and company guidelines related to personal hygiene and dress.
  • Adhere to company policies and individual store guidelines.
  • Report to work when scheduled and on time.

Requirements:


  • Ability to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or verbal instructions; deal with variables as they present themselves.
  • Possess the ability to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions, request supplies orally or in writing.
  • Visual requirements include clarity of vision at a distance of more than 20 inches and less than 30 feet with color vision, depth perception, and field of vision.
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions, including rain, snow, summer, and winter temperatures.
